XtraClubs to Bring Finnish Saunas and Ice Baths to Manly This April
XtraClubs is bringing Finnish saunas and ice baths to 32 The Corso, Manly, with plunges running as cold as 3°C when it opens in April.

A spot on The Corso is about to get a lot colder. XtraClubs, the Sydney-based contrast-therapy chain already running locations in Green Square and Bondi Junction, is set to open its Manly outpost at 32 The Corso in April 2026, the company announced this month.
The Manly Observer carried the announcement on March 17, with local press releases and promotional materials going out the same week. XtraClubs lists the Manly address on its website alongside the tag "March '26," which sits in tension with the April opening stated in the announcement, and the company has not publicly explained whether March refers to a soft launch, founding membership sign-ups, or an earlier timeline that shifted. That detail is worth watching before you lock in a membership.
The facility will follow the same format as XtraClubs' existing clubs: Finnish sauna, ice baths, infrared sauna, and steam room, all available on a swipe-in membership model. The ice baths run at two temperature settings between 3°C and 10°C, so you can ease in at the warmer end or go straight to 3°C if you've put in the time to work down that low. The company says the system is "fully compliant to NSW Health Standards," with the water cleaned, filtered, sanitised, and monitored continuously, which matters in a shared-use plunge setup where water hygiene can be hit or miss.
The Finnish sauna is described as featuring automatic water spray and air circulation for consistent heat and humidity control, a detail that separates a properly engineered löyly experience from the dry, dead-air boxes you find in most gyms. The infrared sauna is positioned for smaller groups, and the steam room rounds out the four-modality lineup.

The brand's pitch is democratisation: "We are making sauna, ice and steam accessible to everyone, not just pro athletes and the wealthy." XtraClubs currently runs two Green Square locations, at 18 Zetland Avenue and 20 Faversham Street, as well as the Bondi Junction club at 434 Oxford Street Mall, all listed as open now. Manly would be the fourth Sydney address.
Founding memberships for the Manly location are being promoted ahead of opening, though specific pricing has not been published in the materials released so far.
