Poseidon launches interactive regulator configurator for divers

Poseidon rolled out an interactive regulator configurator in early July, giving divers a way to build a setup before they buy. In a July 3 video, the company said divers could “choose your setup, select your regulator, explore your configuration in interactive 360°, and build the regulator that fits the way you dive,” with delivery available to home or pickup at a Poseidon Flagship Store.

The tool lands in the part of scuba shopping that usually turns into a maze of first stage ports, second stage choices, octo options and hose routing. That is where a lot of divers get stuck: warm-water travelers are trying to keep the kit light and simple, cold-water locals are thinking about different conditions, and tech-curious divers want a configuration that matches redundancy needs and hose layout instead of a generic package.

Poseidon has also put a dedicated configurator page on its official website, which makes the feature part of the buying path rather than a standalone visual demo. That matters because the same screen that helps a diver see how the parts fit together can also move the order forward, whether the goal is a vacation setup for Kona trips or a more specific rig for local conditions.

The company has pushed the message across its social channels as well, pitching the configurator as a way to build a regulator your way and inspect it in 360°. That is a more guided sales experience than a static catalog page, and it gives dealers and instructors one less round of explaining ports, compatibility and hose routing after the fact.

For divers who already know what they want, the appeal is speed and confidence. For divers still sorting out whether the right answer is a travel-friendly package, a colder-water setup or something more technical, Poseidon’s bet is that a configurable, interactive buying flow will remove some of the guesswork before the regulator ever leaves the store.
