Once Human Season 3 Adds Visional Wheel Fusion Mechanic, New Zones, Fixes
NetEase rolled out Once Human Season 3, Visional Wheel, on January 21, 2026, adding a Fusion mechanic, new hazardous zones and Deviants, plus maintenance windows and multiple fixes.

NetEase launched Season 3 for Once Human, titled Visional Wheel, with a major gameplay addition that changes how combat and exploration feel. The headline feature is Fusion, a Visional Wheel mechanic that lets players fuse with defeated Deviants to temporarily gain unique powers and altered appearances. That temporary takeover changes loadouts on the fly and opens new tactical options for solo runs and coordinated raids.
Fusion affects core decision making. Because powers are time-limited, players must choose when to expend a Deviant's abilities for an immediate advantage or conserve resources for tougher encounters. Altered appearances carry gameplay and social signals in territory building and group play, making Fusion useful for both combat and identity on contested maps. Try the mechanic on lower-risk Deviants first to learn durations and synergies before bringing fused forms into high-stakes zones.
Visional Wheel also adds several new dangerous zones and a roster of fresh Deviants designed to push builds and team compositions. Those zones emphasize risk-reward exploration, with tougher enemy behavior and environmental hazards that reward players with richer loot and progression materials. New Deviants introduce movesets and counters that will affect the current meta; players and clans will need to update scouting reports and territory defense plans to accommodate those threats.
NetEase published maintenance notes and patch timing alongside the update, and servers underwent scheduled maintenance during the rollout on January 21. The patch included quality-of-life bug fixes targeted at combat responsiveness, territory building systems, and cross-platform performance. Players should see improved stability when moving between devices and fewer interruptions during territory construction and skirmishes. The patch also addressed a range of smaller bugs that had impacted progression and matchmaking, smoothing play for both new and veteran accounts.

For practical play, prioritize experimenting with Fusion in controlled settings, update your territory defenses to account for new Deviant behaviors, and verify cross-platform connections after the patch. Clan leaders should re-evaluate defense compositions and coordinate Fusion trials to discover complementary abilities. Keep an eye on in-game patch notes for any follow-up adjustments or hotfixes NetEase posts.
Season 3 reshapes combat flow and territorial strategy by making enemy-absorption a tactical option rather than a rarity. The Visional Wheel Fusion mechanic gives players a new toolkit to experiment with, and the new zones and fixes make this a reset point for the Once Human meta.
