Grays Harbor Train Show Offers Free Admission, Multi-Scale Layouts in 2026
Free admission was the headline change at Grays Harbor's 5th Annual Railroad Swap Meet & Train Show, which ran March 14–15 at the Elma fairgrounds.

The 5th Annual Railroad Swap Meet & Train Show brought hundreds of trains and running layouts to the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma, Washington this past weekend, with one notable change from previous years: free admission. The two-day event ran Saturday and Sunday, March 14–15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day at 32 Elma-McCleary Rd.
The 4th Division of the Pacific Northwest Region posted the event listing, and the free admission policy was confirmed by exhibitor Davidstrains ahead of the show. "Next up we are closer to home with the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds 5th Annual Railroad Swap Meet & Train Show in Elma," Davidstrains wrote. "New this year is free admission!"
Promotional posts from the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds Instagram account, published on March 13, described the event as featuring "hundreds of trains" and "incredible layouts." The Facebook promotion echoed that language, billing it simply as: "Incredible layouts. The 5th Annual Railroad Swap Meet & Train Show Grays Harbor Fairgrounds & Event Center March 14–15 Don't miss it."
On the vendor side, Davidstrains arrived fresh off the Spokane show circuit. "Thank you to Shirley and her team from the River City modelers," the vendor wrote. "We had a fantastic time at the show in Spokane last weekend." Davidstrains also previewed its Grays Harbor stock, including a Disney Frozen Lionchief locomotive described as "a beautifully colored Lionchief for under $200 (unless someone buys it online first!)."
The event was listed on the Visit Grays Harbor tourism calendar, with contact information available through Grays Harbor Tourism at (800) 621-9625. Davidstrains also noted plans to return to a fall show on October 15th, suggesting the regional swap meet calendar stays active well beyond the spring.
