Casa Vostra opens in Tampines with chef Luciano Monosilio carbonara

Casa Vostra has turned Tampines Mall into more than another suburban stop for pasta. The Italian casual-dining brand opened its East-side outpost at 4 Tampines Central 5, #01-33A, with a menu built around signature pizzas, six outlet-exclusive dishes and a collaboration that puts carbonara front and center.

The biggest draw is the tie-up with Rome-based chef Luciano Monosilio, whose name carries real weight among carbonara fans. His Luciano Cucina Italiana is described by the Michelin Guide as serving one of Rome’s finest carbonaras, and Monosilio has long been associated with sharpening the dish’s modern canon, including the use of two cheeses and bain-marie cooking to pasteurize the eggs. At Casa Vostra Tampines, that pedigree shows up in Chef Luciano’s Carbonara Spaghetti, made with guanciale, pecorino, egg yolk and spaghetti in a classic Roman style.

A second collaboration dish, Tagliolini ai Cardoncelli, brings a different kind of pasta appeal: cardoncelli mushrooms, garlic, olive oil, parsley and chili. The two plates are set to join the menu on May 26, giving the opening a second wave of attention after the initial launch. For diners who care about technique as much as queue potential, the carbonara is the hook that makes this branch stand apart from a standard mall debut.

That distinction matters because Casa Vostra already arrives with a reputation. The brand, founded by Chef Antonio Miscellaneo and Ebb & Flow Group, describes itself as an authentic casual Italian concept built on handmade, from-scratch dishes inspired by traditional trattoria cooking. It first built buzz through pop-up activity before moving into permanent spaces, and its earlier openings at Raffles City in 2024 and later at JEM helped establish it as one of the more talked-about Italian names in Singapore’s casual dining scene.

Tampines looks like a strategic next step rather than a random expansion. CapitaLand says the mall sits next to Tampines MRT station and the bus interchange, draws about 25 million shoppers a year and has been undergoing an asset enhancement initiative. In October 2025, the landlord also pointed to brands like Casa Vostra moving from Singapore’s premier urban malls into the East. With daily hours from 11:30am to 10:00pm, the Tampines outlet gives Casa Vostra a high-traffic stage, but the Monosilio collaboration gives it a sharper identity. This is not just another mall opening; it is Casa Vostra trying to make Tampines feel like a pasta destination in its own right.
