Maggiano’s Little Italy is headed back to Tysons with a June 15 opening at Tysons Corner Center, giving Northern Virginia diners a fresh address after losing the long-running Tysons Galleria restaurant last fall. The new location will sit on the first floor near the Coastal Flats entrance, in a space that is a little over 17,000 square feet and already has its sign up as the brick exterior and double doors come into view.

The move restores a familiar Italian-American anchor to a shopping and dining district many local diners know well. Maggiano’s closed its Tysons Galleria restaurant on Sept. 23, 2025, after nearly 30 years in the mall. The two-story restaurant at 2001 International Drive had served the Galleria since the mid-1990s, making its departure a notable loss for anyone who relied on it for large family dinners, birthdays, and other group gatherings.

The new site at Tysons Corner Center is not a straight replacement in size alone. Construction on the new home began in 2025, and the former Brio and La Sandia space is being reshaped for Maggiano’s return. Tysons Corner Center’s larger draw also changes the setting, placing the restaurant inside a center that describes itself as home to more than 300 shopping, dining, and entertainment brands.

That broader setting matters for a brand built around family-style service and a crowd-friendly menu. Maggiano’s has long leaned on large-format seating and a menu centered on dishes such as spaghetti, baked ziti, chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, chicken piccata, and linguine di mare. For diners who lost the Galleria location, the reopening brings back a dependable spot for shared plates and big-table meals, now in a busier retail hub.

Before the doors open, Tysons diners can get an early taste at the fourth annual Taste of Tysons on Saturday, May 16, from noon to 3 p.m. The free event will feature more than 40 Tysons Corner Center eateries, along with live music, cooking demonstrations, chef appearances, raffles, giveaways, and a VIP lounge option for $30 on PenFed Plaza. The preview gives Maggiano’s a way to reconnect with the community before its June 15 comeback, and it sets up a clear contrast: the old Tysons Galleria outpost is gone, but the Tysons Corner Center relaunch puts the brand back in the middle of the area’s dining circuit.
