Fantasy Grounds releases beginner-friendly Pathfinder 2 adventure set

Fantasy Grounds has put one of Pathfinder 2e’s most newcomer-friendly packages into a virtual tabletop format: Pathfinder 2 RPG - Pathfinder Game Night: Dawn of the Frogs (Deluxe Adventure). Released on May 29, 2026, the module is built around a deluxe boxed set adventure designed specifically for brand new players, with enough material to get a table into play fast instead of making a Game Master stitch together a first session from scratch.

The core pitch is straightforward. Bog Bottom has a problem, people are disappearing near an abandoned mill in the swamp of Dunmire, and the product packages that hook into three short adventures for 1st-level characters. Paizo says the set is “one boxed set, three nights of gaming,” and the adventure page frames it as “a complete single-session play experience,” which makes the release especially useful for game nights, store demos and first-time online groups that need a clear starting point.

The boxed set goes beyond the adventure text itself. Paizo says Dawn of the Frogs includes four pre-generated player characters, poster maps for all combat locations, a sheet of pawns for the PCs and enemies, dice and a 32-page adventure book. That combination matters on Fantasy Grounds, where setup time can be the difference between a session that starts smoothly and one that stalls before the first initiative roll. For new GMs, the value is in the structure. For new players, the value is in the pregens and the guided story. For teaching sessions, the value is in having the whole first contact with Pathfinder 2e already organized.

Jason Bulmahn wrote the adventure, giving the release extra weight as a lead design project from Paizo’s Director of Game Design and the creator of the Pathfinder RPG. Paizo also sanctioned Dawn of the Frogs for Pathfinder Society Organized Play, and its September 2025 Organized Play update had already identified it as sanctioned, opening the door for use in organized play, game stores, conventions and online tables through the Pathfinder Society structure.

Fantasy Grounds lists the module as an officially licensed Paizo Pathfinder 2.0 VTT adventure with line-of-sight integration, and the product has been shown at both $34.99 on the product page and $29.99 in broader store listings. For groups looking for the easiest on-ramp into Pathfinder 2e on a VTT, Dawn of the Frogs is positioned less like a rules purchase and more like a complete launch kit.
