The gap between Starfinder Society Scenario #1-18 and #1-20 is now official and permanent. Paizo cancelled Scenario #1-19 after the title fell "critically delayed due to a combination of production factors," and rather than attempt a late insertion into the release schedule, the company chose to absorb the missing number rather than push every subsequent scenario down by one.

The decision surfaced publicly through Warhorn, the event-scheduling and scenario catalog platform that Starfinder Society coordinators rely on to organize and track organized-play events. In the first week of April 2026, Warhorn added a placeholder entry for SFS #1-19 to prevent GMs from hunting a listing that will never exist. The placeholder reproduces Paizo's explanation directly: "for bookkeeping reasons, at this point in the production cycle it's easier for us to simply leave a hole in the numbering system rather than adjust all future scenarios."

That reasoning is pragmatic, but the downstream effects are real. Scenario numbers are not purely cosmetic in organized play; they anchor catalog feeds, chronicle sheets, and the milestone math players use to track progress toward reporting rewards. A gap between #1-18 and #1-20 that isn't explicitly flagged as intentional reads like a temporary data error, the kind that prompts repeated re-imports or phantom event creation in local scheduling systems. Warhorn's placeholder entry exists specifically to prevent exactly that confusion.

For GMs running Starfinder Society events through store or convention scheduling software, the immediate practical step is confirming that the absence of #1-19 is expected and deliberate. Any catalog feed or scenario-import process that auto-populates from the official list should be audited to verify the gap doesn't generate erroneous entries.

The cancellation is also a pointed reminder that Paizo's production pipeline can produce last-minute schedule changes with little advance notice. GMs who build multi-scenario arcs for their tables are better served keeping a backup scenario in reserve rather than assuming a full season's lineup will arrive intact.

The Warhorn entry attributes the cancellation to a combination of factors without identifying them individually. Paizo's forums may carry additional staff context, and Society coordinators should monitor official channels for any follow-up. Until then, Season 1's numbering sequence reads exactly as it sounds: #1-18, then #1-20.
