Hangzhou Zingxi Technology Co., Ltd, operating as YoloLiv, announced on March 11 that it is developing a native Micro Four Thirds prime lens: an 18mm f/1.4 officially marketed as the "YoloLiv Lens." The company debuted the optic as a reference exhibit alongside its YoloCam S7 at CP+2026, where it drew considerable attention from attendees at the PRONEWS STATION booth.

The lens is aimed squarely at streamers and content creators and promises high image quality with swift, smooth autofocus for video. YoloLiv framed the project explicitly as a next-generation development tied to the YoloCam S7, its vertical-oriented interchangeable-lens camera featuring a 10.7-megapixel Sony IMX Micro Four Thirds sensor and 4Kp60 video recording. The S7's MFT mount accepts third-party glass, but YoloLiv positions the in-house lens as the optimized pairing. As CP+2026 coverage from En Pronews noted: "AF will work with other MFT lenses, but the recommended products have better optimized AF accuracy."

That focus on autofocus is a direct response to how YoloLiv approached the S7 at launch. The company initially recommended the Panasonic 15mm f/1.7 and 25mm f/1.7 primes, selecting both specifically for their high AF tracking performance in situations requiring quick focus changes. Those lenses, however, have been on the market for over ten years. The 18mm f/1.4 is presented as the purpose-built replacement, developed, according to En Pronews, "to achieve even higher image quality."

At $299, the YoloLiv Lens undercuts the Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH., which carries a $598 asking price, by exactly half. Petapixel characterized that positioning as aggressive pricing within a Micro Four Thirds market that "can occasionally feel a bit stagnant," and noted the 18mm f/1.4 combination is always welcome in the format. Physically, the lens features a black finish with a ribbed focus ring and a Φ46 marking, indicating a 46mm filter thread.

YoloLiv joined the Micro Four Thirds System in October 2023, promising at the time to introduce compliant products. The YoloCam S7 was the first delivery on that commitment; the in-house lens represents the next step. No release date or shipping timeline has been announced, and full optical specifications including element count, minimum focus distance, and aperture blade configuration have not yet been disclosed.

En Pronews described the focal length and aperture combination as appearing to "offer the ideal angle of view for upper body photography," a framing that aligns with the standing-desk and seated-streamer setups the YoloCam S7 was built to serve.
