England’s home-championship look is set, and the timing matters. With London 2026 moving into its final stretch and demand already spiking, Table Tennis England has unveiled the new Butterfly kit that Team England will wear at the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals in London, a launch that feels less like a fashion reveal and more like a statement of intent.

The shirt is the Butterfly Nagoya, paired with Butterfly Kushiro shorts, and the same set will be worn by both the athletes and support staff. Butterfly says the shorts use Cool Dry Lycra, a 92 percent polyester and 8 percent spandex blend, built to be elastic, quick-drying and durable. Table Tennis England has framed the outfit around performance as much as appearance, describing the range as breathable, moisture-absorbing and flexible enough for elite team competition. That matters in a team event where players need to look coordinated on camera, move freely at the table and carry the same visual identity through every bench-side huddle and timeout.

Tees Sport managing director Alan Ransome said, “The England team and I are super excited to have received our new England kit ahead of the World Team Championships in London.” He added, “Our aim with this range is to help the England team to look their best and play to the highest standard.” Table Tennis England performance director Gavin Evans said the design feels comfortable and should help optimize performance on the big stage. That is the real pitch here: not just matching tops and shorts, but a kit meant to project confidence in front of a home crowd that will know exactly who the host nation is trying to be.

The schedule gives the reveal immediate edge. England women open against Japan at OVO Arena Wembley at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, followed by the England men against China at 12:30 p.m. the same day. Stage 1B begins at the Copper Box Arena on April 28, while Stage 1A at OVO Arena Wembley starts on May 2 with the top-ranked teams and England as host nation. The tournament runs from April 28 to May 10 and brings 64 women’s teams and 64 men’s teams to London.

This is a centenary event, marking 100 years since the first World Table Tennis Championships were held in England in 1926, and the presentation reflects that weight. The ITTF has also introduced its mascot, Ping, to underline the anniversary feel. With day passes sold out and finals sessions running low, the new England kit is doing exactly what a home-worlds kit should do: turn anticipation into identity before the first ball is even tossed.
