The story begins in a seaside corner of SimTown and centers on Bella and Mortimer, with EA framing the season as summer-themed and driven by Mortimer’s imagination.

The Sims FreePlay told players on X that the Seaside Swoon update was live, but also warned that some app stores were incorrectly showing it as launching the next day. The post said it could take up to 24 hours for app stores to reflect the correct status, which left some players seeing a mismatch between what the game said and what their device storefront displayed.

That timing confusion is landing alongside fresh technical complaints from the community. Players have been reporting download errors and crashes when opening the app after the update, a pattern that sounds familiar to long-time FreePlay users who have dealt with update-related stability problems before.
