Marvel Rivals adds Blood Hunt PvE mode with Dracula and co-op survival action
Blood Hunt gives Marvel Rivals a co-op escape from PvP, with Dracula, New York City chaos, and six heroes ready on April 23 (UTC).

Marvel Rivals is about to give its PvP crowd a break, and Blood Hunt looks like NetEase Games’ clearest swing yet at turning the shooter into more than a queue grinder. The new PvE mode arrives on April 23 (UTC), drops Dracula back into the spotlight, and sends players into New York City where monsters are already roaming the streets.
Blood Hunt supports up to four players, and the launch roster is deliberately tight: Moon Knight, Blade, Squirrel Girl, Thor, The Punisher, and Jeff the Land Shark. That lineup matters. NetEase is not tossing in a generic survival playlist and calling it a day. It is building a co-op run around heroes that should each play differently enough to keep the mode from feeling like a one-note horde bash.
The trailer sells the action as a straight fight against Dracula and waves of undead enemies, with the screen packed with damage numbers and enemies swarming in from every angle. The comparison to Vampire Survivors is hard to miss, and the structure has a little Megabonk energy too, with fast crowd control and constant pressure doing most of the work. NetEase is also leaning on replayability through Arcana Scrolls, the buffs players earn during runs. Those scrolls can improve health, strengthen skills, and generally push a squad further as the difficulty climbs.
That progression loop is the part that makes Blood Hunt feel more serious than a one-off event. Multiple difficulties, persistent buffs during a run, and a fixed hero roster all point toward something designed to be revisited, not sampled once and forgotten. Whether it becomes a permanent second pillar or stays a limited detour, it is clearly aimed at players who want Marvel Rivals without the constant stress of hero-versus-hero matchmaking.
The timing makes sense for a game that has already proven it can pull a huge audience. Marvel Rivals launched globally on December 6, 2024, crossed 20 million players by December 24, 2024, and SteamDB lists its all-time Steam peak at 644,269 concurrent players on January 11, 2025. Blood Hunt is the kind of mode built to keep that crowd inside the ecosystem when they are tired of ranked lobbies and balance patch arguments.
