Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader gets physical Voidfarer Edition for PS5, Switch 2

Owlcat Games is bringing Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader back to console shelves on October 15 with a physical Voidfarer Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders are open now through Silver Lining Direct and local retailers, with the PS5 version priced at $59.99 / £49.99 / €59.99 and the Switch 2 edition at $69.99 / £59.99 / €69.99.

The appeal here is the box itself: Voidfarer Edition bundles Season Pass 1, which covers Void Shadows and Lex Imperialis, the two 15-hour story expansions, alongside a digital artbook, wallpaper pack, digital soundtrack, a unique Rogue Trader Throne cosmetic for the voidship’s bridge, a Firestorm-Class Frigate starting voidship, a Cherub Pet companion, and premium weapons including the Blast Wave Shotgun, Wrath of Saint Drusus Chainsword, and Heirloom Autopistol. For players who bounced off the digital release, this is a clean late-entry package with the big post-launch content already folded in.

The physical debut arrives through Silver Lining Interactive, the North of England-based publisher working with Owlcat on the release. Owlcat, headquartered in Cyprus and now more than 450 employees strong across multiple offices, has leaned on Rogue Trader as one of its flagship projects, and the new boxed version gives the game a more traditional collector’s shelf presence than the digital storefront editions ever could.

That matters because Rogue Trader has already built a serious audience. Owlcat says the cRPG has sold more than 2 million copies across PC and consoles since its digital launch on December 7, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam and GOG. It later reached Switch 2 on December 11, 2025.

Set in the Koronus Expanse, Owlcat’s little-charted and perilous corner of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Rogue Trader remains the studio’s first cRPG in the setting. The Voidfarer Edition turns that history into a physical package, and for fans deciding whether this is a true collector’s buy or a double-dip, the answer hinges on how much value they put on boxed presentation, the full Season Pass 1 bundle, and the extra bridge and ship cosmetics.
