Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Joins PlayStation Plus Catalog in March
Space Marine 2 hits PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on March 17, letting subscribers purge Tyranid swarms without paying full price for one of 2024's standout action games.

Lieutenant Titus is reporting for duty on PlayStation Plus. Sony confirmed on March 11 that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will join the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on March 17, available to Extra and Premium subscribers on PS5 alongside eight other titles spanning RPGs, gothic platformers, and classic fighting games.
The PlayStation Blog described the month's lineup in characteristic fashion: "This month, purge Tyranid swarms in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, run the show on the gridiron in EA Sports Madden NFL 26, slip back into stylish heists with Persona 5 Royal, or brave a nightmarish pilgrimage in Blasphemous 2. All these titles and more are available in March's PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup."
For anyone who missed Saber Interactive's 2024 release, the timing is hard to argue with. Engadget named Space Marine 2 one of its Best Games of 2024 and called it "a third-person action game reminiscent of Gears of War, but set in Games Workshop's elaborate Warhammer 40,000 universe," adding that the game is worth a look even for players new to the franchise, particularly as a co-op experience with a third entry reportedly on the way. Polygon's review was equally enthusiastic about the moment-to-moment combat: "While the story might not make much sense if you don't have a ton of Warhammer 40K knowledge, come for the alien shootin' and stay for the bloody satisfying melee finishers." The Tyranid hordes in particular earned special praise: "The endless armies of the Tyranids are great fun to tear apart. Some of the execution animations had me hooting and hollering."
The rest of the March catalog is substantial. Persona 5 Royal lands on both PS4 and PS5, with the PS4 version of Persona 5 Royal: Ultimate Edition also included, giving subscribers the complete version of Atlus's acclaimed RPG. Madden NFL 26 arrives on PS5 with its full suite of real NFL teams, players, and stadiums. Blasphemous 2 brings its 2D gothic platforming and layered dark lore to both PS4 and PS5. The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria and the sandbox exploration game Astroneer round out the PS5 and cross-gen additions respectively.

Metal Eden, described by Polygon as "2025's most underrated shooter," also joins on PS5, putting players inside an advanced combat android on a mission to save humanity.
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers get one additional title: Tekken: Dark Resurrection, exclusive to that top tier on both PS4 and PS5. Engadget described it as "a revamped and rebalanced version of Tekken 5 that includes expanded character customization options and new stages that weren't in the original 2004 fighting game," announced during Sony's latest State of Play broadcast.
All titles become available March 17. Sony noted that Game Catalog and Premium lineups may differ by region, and that digital PS5 games available to stream will vary over time and by country. The catalog is accessible to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers; Essentials-tier subscribers do not have access to these additions.
