Christina Haack Denies Engagement After Ring Spotted on Left Hand
Haack says the ring sparking engagement buzz is a Cartier Love piece she bought herself nearly a decade ago, engraved with her children's initials.

Christina Haack arrived at HGTV's "Bachelor Mansion Takeover" press event on March 12 wearing a moss-green gown, heels, and a white Dior handbag. It was the ring on her left hand that stopped the conversation cold.
The sighting, at the Bachelor Mansion in Los Angeles where HGTV hosted its first-ever gathering tied to the Jesse Palmer-fronted franchise, sent social media and outlets including the Daily Mail and TMZ into immediate engagement speculation. Haack attended the event with Christopher LaRocca, her boyfriend of over a year, and spoke warmly to Us Weekly on the red carpet. "Chris is always very supportive," she told the outlet. "He's just a nice, easy man to be around, and I love having him here."
Three days later, she was done being gracious about the coverage. On March 15, Haack posted a screenshot of the Daily Mail's story to her Instagram Stories. The headline had declared she "flashes a ring on her wedding finger as she says she WOULD get married again… after 3 divorces." Her response was direct: "Bad reporting @dailymail 🙄"
What followed was a precise piece of jewelry identification. "That ring (that I've worn for almost 10 years) is a Cartier love ring (a gift to myself) with my kids initials," Haack wrote, pushing back on the framing that the piece signaled anything romantic. She also clarified what she had actually said about marriage: "'Marriage is just not on my radar right now,' was my exact quote."
That quote traced back to an interview she gave E! News the day before the HGTV event, in which she described her relationship with LaRocca in notably unhurried terms. "It's a one day at a time thing, which is nice," she said. "Yeah, it's just about easy right now. He has a career, and he works a lot, and he has to travel a lot for work, and so it's just nice being with someone that gets the dynamic of hard work and motivation."
The Cartier Love ring, one of the French house's most recognizable designs, is a smooth gold band typically worn as a symbol of self-possession or devotion. Haack's claim that she has owned it for nearly a decade and personalized it with her children's initials positions it firmly in the category of sentimental everyday jewelry rather than romantic declaration, regardless of which hand it sits on.
This is not Haack's first time navigating ring-related media scrutiny. Earlier coverage, dating to a September incident reported by TMZ and Page Six, documented her posting and then deleting Instagram photos that appeared to show a large diamond ring on her left hand while with then-boyfriend Joshua Hall. She later confirmed that engagement on September 20, with photos showing a 5-carat diamond ring reportedly valued at $200,000, created by jeweler Benny Hayoun. That relationship ended, as did her subsequent marriage to Hall, which EntertainmentNow reports concluded in July 2024.
The pattern here is familiar: a ring on Haack's left hand, a media cycle, a clarification. What distinguishes this episode is the ring's own history. A Cartier Love band worn for a decade and dedicated to her children is, by Haack's own account, not a proposal waiting to be announced. It is a piece she chose for herself long before LaRocca entered the picture.
