Paws on the Ave Pet Expo set for Vineland Convention Center

Paws on The Ave Pet Expo brought the South Jersey pet community to the Vineland Convention Center for a one-day event built around vendors, exhibitors and educators. The expo ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, with adult admission set at $10, children 12 and under admitted free and dogs free to attend.

The event was listed under several local calendars, including the City of Vineland and the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce, which placed it firmly inside the city’s business and event network. It was also tied to Downtown Vineland and The Ave branding, linking the expo to the city’s broader effort to keep traffic and spending centered around Landis Avenue and the surrounding business district.

A Facebook post promoting the gathering framed it as an outing for animal enthusiasts and described it as a chance to meet expert vendors and get hands-on with live exotic animals. That combination of family-friendly admission and pet-industry programming gave the expo a wider reach than a simple shopping event, opening the door for pet owners, curious families and local buyers to spend part of the day inside the convention center.

For Cumberland County pet businesses, the format offered a direct way to reach residents without relying on out-of-town promotion. A convention-center expo can put pet-related sellers, trainers, educators and other service providers in the same room with potential customers from Vineland and nearby communities, while also giving adoption-minded visitors a chance to connect with the South Jersey pet community in one place.

The venue itself mattered. The Convention Center of Vineland NJ and the Vineland Convention Center are among the city’s larger indoor event spaces, and hosting a pet expo there reinforced the building’s role as a regional gathering site.
