High Point police investigate deadly domestic violence call, two adults dead
Two juveniles ran to a neighbor, a 911 call followed, and police say a domestic disturbance at 4524 Jamesford Dr ended with a husband and wife dead.

Two juveniles fleeing a house on Jamesford Drive set off a police response that ended with two adults dead and four High Point officers on paid leave. Police say the call to 4524 Jamesford Dr came in around 7:57 p.m. Sunday, after the children told a neighbor there was an active assault involving a knife.
Officers arrived about 8:07 p.m. and found signs of a violent attack inside the home. Two officers went to the front of the house while two others checked the back, then front officers forced entry and encountered an adult man covered in blood and armed with a knife. Police said he ignored multiple commands and advanced toward officers, who fired and struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Inside the home, officers also found an adult woman suffering from life-threatening stab wounds. She later died. High Point Police said the woman’s death is being investigated as a homicide by the department’s Violent Crimes Unit, while the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is handling the officer-involved shooting review. The department said no officers were physically injured, no additional suspects or witnesses are being sought, and there is no threat to the community.
The incident is being handled under case report number 2026-13401. The four officers involved were placed on paid administrative leave, which the department said is standard protocol. High Point Police also scheduled a briefing for 8 a.m. Monday at police headquarters on Westchester Drive, underscoring how quickly the case moved from a domestic disturbance call to parallel homicide and use-of-force investigations.

Mayor Cyril Jefferson called the event tragic and said violence like this can affect families and communities for a long time. He said he was especially heartbroken for the youth who witnessed the event and asked the community to help them through the next steps. WFMY News 2 reported that a male 911 caller identified himself as a neighbor and said the juveniles were the couple’s children, though police had not fully confirmed that relationship early in the investigation.
