Lordsburg Hidalgo County Events Video Highlights March, April Activities
The Lordsburg-Hidalgo Chamber's Annual Awards Ceremony took place March 6, with the Visit Lordsburg YouTube channel now spotlighting April events and a full 2026 calendar from Cancer Walk to Railroad Days.

The Visit Lordsburg YouTube channel posted a short video titled "Lordsburg Hidalgo County Events March & April 2026" that compiles upcoming local festivals, civic activities and cultural events across Lordsburg and Hidalgo County. The video arrives just days after one of the calendar's first major milestones: the Annual Chamber Awards Ceremony, held March 6, 2026. Awards for that event were selected by the community.
The video's release coincides with the Lordsburg-Hidalgo Chamber of Commerce's full year of programming now posted at visitlordsburg.com. Lordsburg bills itself as a vibrant community with annual events spanning from the Hidalgo County Fair to the Light Parade. All dates listed are subject to change, and the Chamber encourages contacting them directly with questions; additional events are available through the weekly newsletter.
The spring calendar kicks off with GET OUTSIDE, HIDALGO! and a Cancer Walk, both scheduled for April. Summer brings Railroad Days on June 13, 2026, followed by the Rodeo's 4th of July Celebration & Parade and Lordsburg's Fabulous Fireworks Show on July 4. One of the biggest basketball events in the region, the Jessie Darnell 3-on-3 Tournament, is a beloved Hidalgo County fixture that raises awareness for suicide prevention in honor of the late Jessie Darnell. The tournament is scheduled for the second weekend in July. The Hidalgo County Fair follows the third weekend in August, with the Hidalgo County Fair Parade kicking off along Motel Drive at 5 p.m. Anyone interested in entering a float can submit an online entry through the Chamber's website under the "Chamber activities" section, with no entry fee required.

The fall and winter slate rounds out with the Fall Foodtruck Roundup on the third Saturday of November and Moonlight Madness & Light Parade on the first Friday of December. The Chamber also participates in Hidalgo County Day & Legislative Session in Santa Fe each February, giving local voices a platform at the state capitol.
Note that a discrepancy exists in the Railroad Days dates: the chamber's events listing cites June 13, 2026, while a promotional flyer on the same site references June 6-7. Contact the Chamber directly at (575) 542-9864 or visitlordsburg@gmail.com to confirm the correct date before making plans. The office at 206 Main Street is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., though hours may vary; the Chamber's Facebook page carries current hours when field work or events affect the schedule.
