Oak Harbor Thrift Store Offers Free Easter Outfits, $1 Baskets for Families
Free kids' Easter outfits and $1 pre-filled baskets were available this week at Garage of Blessings on SE Barrington Drive in Oak Harbor.

Families looking to dress their children for Easter without breaking the bank had a local option this week: Garage of Blessings, the free community thrift store and pantry at 800 SE Barrington Drive in Oak Harbor, stocked its Blessings Thrift Store with children's Easter outfits and hats at no charge, while its Boutique offered a $1 table loaded with pre-filled Easter baskets and fillers.
The outfits and Boutique items were available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from the Boutique's $1 table go directly toward the organization's nonprofit mission, supporting both the Blessings Pantry and the free community thrift store that Whidbey Island residents have relied on since the organization's founding in 2012.
The Easter promotion fits into a broader calendar of what Garage of Blessings calls Blessing Events and FUNdraisers. Blessing Events are free to the community and are designed to help families prepare for or celebrate significant moments, including Prom season, Back to School, Holiday Shopping for Kids, and Winter Giveaways. FUNdraisers, by contrast, are revenue-generating: themed sale events such as a Craft Supply Sale, Vintage Fundraiser, and DIY Easter Baskets raise the funds needed to cover rent, utilities, and essential program expenses that keep the free thrift store and pantry running.
A past Easter Basket Fundraiser at the location invited community members to build their own Easter basket by choosing from a selection of baskets, toys, and treats, with all proceeds supporting the mission to help neighbors in need.
