R.E.A.L. Transportation Brings Easter Celebration, Health Fair to San Diego

R.E.A.L. Transportation, the public-transit and human-services nonprofit formally known as Rural Economic Assistance League, Inc., brought an Easter Celebration and community health fair to San Diego on March 23, connecting Jim Wells County residents with free and low-cost health services alongside local volunteers and partnering health and social-service organizations.

REAL serves nine counties across the Coastal Bend, Jim Wells among them, and the San Diego event reflects the organization's broader push to carry services directly into the smaller communities within that footprint. REAL operates housing projects in San Diego, Texas, giving the organization a longstanding stake in the town's wellbeing that predates this week's celebration.

The dual-purpose event paired holiday festivities with practical health access, a format that lets an organization reach residents who might not seek out a standalone clinic but will show up for a community gathering.
