Sterling's Countryside Marketplace got a new culinary option this month when Iris Kitchen set up inside the Sijang Eatery food court at Lotte Plaza Market, bringing Salvadoran cuisine to a shopping center already known for its international dining options.

Iris Kitchen's menu includes Sopa de Res, Platanos Fritos, Pan Frances Relleno, and Baleadas, covering a range of traditional Salvadoran dishes from hearty beef soup to fried plantains to stuffed French bread. The vendor is located inside the Lotte Plaza Market grocery store at Countryside Marketplace, near the intersection of Route 7 and Countryside Boulevard, with the opening reported March 23, 2026.

The arrival of Iris Kitchen adds a Latin American presence to a food court that has evolved considerably since Lotte Plaza Market first opened its doors in May 2023. When the 47,000-square-foot international grocery store launched, it debuted the Sijang Eatery as a centerpiece feature: a multi-vendor food hall built into the supermarket itself. Original tenants Baro Baro Boba Tea Bar and BB.Q Chicken are still operating. Joining them more recently are Doña Sazon, a Peruvian restaurant, and Seoul Fine Korean Cuisine & BBQ, a Korean eatery that replaced earlier kiosks.

The result is a food court that now spans El Salvador, Peru, Korea, and beyond, all under one roof inside a grocery store that already stocks one of the broader selections of Asian and international products in the region. For Countryside and Sterling residents who drive past the Route 7 and Countryside Boulevard intersection regularly, Iris Kitchen represents the newest reason to stop in.
