Sterling "No Kings" Protest Draws 65 Participants to West Main Corner
Sterling Police Chief Tyson Kerr called Saturday's "No Kings" protest at West Main and Division "pretty tame" as 65 demonstrators faced a handful of counter-protesters.

About 65 people assembled at Monahan Park on Saturday afternoon before walking the block south to the corner of West Main and Division Avenue, joining a wave of "No Kings" rallies held across the United States to protest the Trump administration.
Participants stood or sat in lawn chairs carrying signs that targeted immigration enforcement, the war in Iran, and President Donald Trump broadly. A handful of counter-protesters took up a position across West Main, holding messages in support of the president.
Sterling Police Department officers maintained a visible presence throughout the event. Police Chief Tyson Kerr said there was little to report. "It was pretty tame," he said.

The Sterling gathering was part of a coordinated national day of action, with "No Kings" events unfolding in communities across the country on the same afternoon.
