Kyle James Grignon, 33, of Neopit died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born March 9, 1993, in Shawano, to Michael Gomeyosh and Michelle Grignon.

After graduating from high school, Grignon studied welding and construction. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, picking ginseng, and riding in the woods. He was a die-hard Packer fan and, by the account of those who knew him, "a big teddy bear with a big heart and a great sense of humor, and he was always willing to help others." He also found a particular interest in cryptids.

His family described him as an amazing father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. "Kyle's world revolved around his family, and he never missed an opportunity to spend time with them."

Grignon is preceded in death by his brothers Cory Grignon and Grant Gomeyosh; his best friend, Kenny LaTender Jr.; his uncles Gary Gomeyosh and Sean Grignon; and his grandparents Joe and Rose Gomeyosh.

Visitation began Wednesday, March 25, at 1 p.m. at the Neopit Community Center on BIA Route 431 and continued through this morning ahead of today's service.

The funeral Mass is scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Friday, March 27, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, W6786 Bureau of Indian Affairs Route 431, Neopit, with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in the spring.

Swedberg Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Shawano, located at 518 W. Fifth Street, is handling arrangements. An online guestbook is available through Swedberg Funeral Home, where friends and family may leave memories or send flowers.
