Gabbs Town Advisory Board Sets March 17 Meeting, Agenda Posted Online
Gabbs Town Advisory Board certified its March 17 meeting agenda on March 12, with the public PDF now live on the Nye County Agenda Center.

The Gabbs Town Advisory Board certified its agenda for a March 17, 2026 meeting on March 12, posting the full packet as a public PDF to the Nye County Agenda Center in compliance with Nevada Open Meeting law.
The board, a five-member advisory body composed of residents and qualified electors of the unincorporated Town of Gabbs, exists to bridge local concerns and county governance. Its stated purpose is to assist the Nye County Board of Commissioners in governing Gabbs by acting as a liaison between residents and the BOCC, with a mission to ensure Gabbs residents receive "all the amenities and entitlements afforded under the laws of the State of Nevada and Nye County." The board is responsible for holding open meetings on the second Wednesday of every month, and at other times as deemed necessary, to discuss resident concerns, budgetary matters, and expenditures requiring approval.
The agenda PDF is downloadable directly from the Nye County Agenda Center. Physical copies of the posting are also available at Gabbs Town Hall, 503 Brucite St.; the Amargosa Valley Community Center, 821 E. Amargosa Farm Rd.; the Beatty Community Center, 100 South A Ave.; and the Round Mountain Community Center, 650 Civic Dr. Support documentation for county agenda items is additionally available at the County Manager's Office at 101 Radar Road in Tonopah.
Residents who cannot attend in person can watch the meeting at nyecountynv.gov, though a 30 to 40 second delay exists between the live proceedings and the streamed video. Those participating by phone and wishing to offer public comment should press 9 on their telephone keypad to notify administration they wish to speak.
The March 17 meeting follows an uneven start to the year for GTAB. The board's January 14 regular meeting was cancelled, with the agenda posted to the county's CivicPlus system just one day prior on January 13. A special meeting was then held February 11, with that agenda posted February 5.
Board members serve staggered two-year terms that normally begin on the first Monday in January, with term limits rotating in alternate years. All five positions are pro bono. Members are appointed by the BOCC in accordance with NRS Chapter 269 and Nye County Code, and must be both residents and qualified electors within Gabbs. The GTAB and BOCC are directed to cooperate and keep each other informed on all matters pertaining to the town.
