Onondaga County deputy suspended after DWI crash into Manlius medical building
A road deputy was suspended without pay after police said his pickup hit signs and a Manlius dental office at 3:45 a.m. Bradley McGraw-Wixson was charged with DWI.

An Onondaga County sheriff’s deputy has been suspended without pay after Manlius police said his pickup truck crashed into a medical building on West Seneca Street, raising questions about accountability inside one of the county’s largest law-enforcement agencies.
Police identified the driver as Bradley McGraw-Wixson, 28, a road deputy with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office since October 2024. Officers charged him with driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely and speed not reasonable and prudent after the crash at 102 West Seneca Street in the village of Manlius. He was released on an appearance ticket.

The crash was reported at about 3:45 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, after police said the pickup struck several signs before hitting the building, which is home to Manlius Dental Group. McGraw-Wixson was not injured. Law enforcement described the building damage as minor, but the truck’s front end was damaged badly enough that it had to be towed from the scene.
The sheriff’s office said McGraw-Wixson will serve a 30-day suspension without pay while the agency conducts an internal investigation. That response matters in a county where deputies are expected to enforce the same laws they are sworn to uphold, especially in a case involving alleged drunk driving and a crash into a commercial property in the heart of a village business corridor.

The case puts a public spotlight on the sheriff’s office at a time when residents will be watching both the criminal case and the internal discipline. The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says it has about 750 dedicated men and women serving the county, making the handling of a case like this a test of how the agency holds its own employees to account. For patients and providers at Manlius Dental Group, the damage may have been limited, but the incident still left behind a tow truck, a damaged building front and a reminder of how quickly one crash can move from a quiet village street to a countywide trust issue.
