A Center 4 the Arts (AC4TA) in Fergus Falls announced on Thursday, February 12, that it plans to relaunch the community theatre program with a summer production for adults, returning adult community theatre to the venue for the first time since the summer 2019 staging of Oliver. Fergus Now reported the announcement after AC4TA posted about the relaunch on its Facebook page.

The organization says it’s currently building its production team and is looking for individuals interested in serving in the following roles: the Fergus Now coverage notes the call for volunteers but did not include the full list of positions. AC4TA’s Facebook post began, “ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF COMMUNITY THEATRE TO A CENTER FOR THE ARTS! AC4TA plans to relaunch the Community Theatre Program with a summer” and directed followers to await further details; the group says more information about the production and auditions will be announced at a later date.

The relaunch arrives amid an active 2025/26 season at FergusArts. Upcoming listings on the FergusArts calendar include The Accidental Hero on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 7:30 pm, a one-man multimedia show written and performed by Patrick Dewane, with tickets priced $30 for adults and $15 for students, and the Fergus Falls Civic Orchestra spring concert on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2 pm featuring pianist Rebecca Davis performing works by Ludwig von Beethoven, with tickets $20 adults and $10 students. AC4TA is also running a robust Youth Theatre slate: Stinky Cheese Man rehearsals ran Monday–Thursday, January 5 through February 5 with a performance on February 7, and an AC4TA Youth Theatre production is listed for Saturday, February 7 at 2:00 pm with tickets on sale January 5.

Leadership and box office details underscore operational capacity: FergusArts introduced Michael Ranscht as its new Executive Director, writing, “Michael starts in his new role this week and brings a wealth of arts experience to our community and this leadership position. Help us give him a warm welcome to Fergus Falls.” Ticketing options advertised on the FergusArts site include a Pick-4 package that offers a $2 discount per show, and contact information for organizers is listed as (218) 736-5453 and info@fergusarts.org.

The relaunch has been described as “the first major season since pandemic interruptions” and a “local arts revival” that “signals renewed investment in cultural events and volunteer arts infrastructure,” language appearing in the organization’s season context. Organizers have not yet published audition dates, production title, or the specific volunteer role list; they encourage followers on AC4TA’s Facebook page and the FergusArts contact channels for updates.
