Perry County Library to Host Student Eco-Art Expo in April
Perry County students will display eco-art made from recycled materials at Tell City's public library on April 6, in a free two-hour showcase.

The Perry County Public Library's Tell City branch will host a student Eco-Art Expo on Monday, April 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 2328 Tell Street, opening the branch's spring schedule with a free public showcase of artwork built entirely from recycled and repurposed materials.
Students will be on-site throughout the event to speak with attendees about their projects. The library's event listing invites the community to come see what it describes as "amazing student creations made from recycled and repurposed materials" and meet the students who made them.
Tell City branch staff are organizing the expo alongside local educators as part of a regional effort to blend environmental education, hands-on arts learning, and public exhibit opportunities for students. The showcase gives Perry County youth a community platform to present their sustainability work outside the classroom, with no cost to attend.
Two days later, on Wednesday, April 8, the PCPL Board holds its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the same Tell City branch. The session is open to the public. Trustees and staff use these meetings to address governance matters including budgets, programming priorities, acquisitions, and outreach decisions that shape how the library allocates local and state funds. Those decisions carry direct consequences for everyday users, from families attending pre-school storytime to residents who depend on the branch's public internet access for job searching and digital services.
Residents unable to attend either event can review board meeting minutes after they are posted to the PCPL website.
