ATG San Francisco Unveils 2026-27 Broadway Season at Orpheum, 1192 Market St.

ATG San Francisco, the regional producer formerly known as BroadwaySF, unveiled its 2026–27 Broadway season for San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre at 1192 Market St., promising a roster of Tony- and Olivier-winning shows that run from October 2026 through July 2027. General Manager Jamie Budgett called it “a celebration of the very best of Broadway” in a news release, saying the season showcases “sharp-edged comedy and groundbreaking new musicals” and “beloved stories reimagined for the stage.”

The season opens with a bonus, non-subscription engagement: Oh, Mary! at the Curran Theatre, Oct. 13–Nov. 1, 2026, which ATG will co-host with the American Conservatory Theater and which is explicitly listed as not part of the regular series subscription. ATG’s main Orpheum slate begins in December with the four-time Tony Award–winning Best Musical The Outsiders, scheduled Dec. 9–27, 2026, followed by Buena Vista Social Club in February and Operation Mincemeat in March.

Buena Vista Social Club’s run is reported as Feb. 2–27 in one outlet and Feb. 2–21, 2027 in another; both date ranges are part of ATG’s published season listings and should be confirmed on ATG’s official season page. Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical is listed for March 9–28, 2027 and is identified in ATG materials as both an Olivier Award and Tony Award winner. The Great Gatsby, described as a Tony Award–winning new musical, is slated April 27–May 16, 2027 at the Orpheum.

Summer bookings on the Orpheum include Death Becomes Her (rendered once in a snippet as Death Becomes Here) with most sources listing June 9–26, 2027, followed by the season closer Maybe Happy Ending, which multiple outlets identify as a six-time Tony Award winner and list June 29–July 18, 2027 as its run. Mercurynews framed Maybe Happy Ending as the closer and noted it “opens June 29.”

Local producers and venue operators will watch the Orpheum calendar closely: the season brings multiple touring musicals with Tony and Olivier credentials to 1192 Market St., concentrating ticketed runs across the winter, spring, and early summer of 2027 and creating a sustained cultural and economic footprint downtown from Dec. 9, 2026 through at least July 18, 2027 as currently listed. Given small discrepancies in published run dates for Buena Vista Social Club and a single headline variant for Death Becomes Her, final confirmation from ATG’s official season notice is recommended before planning travel or group bookings.
