Indivisible San Juan will hold its third No Kings rally at Orchard Plaza Park, 105 N. Orchard Ave. in downtown Farmington, on Saturday, March 28, from 2 to 4 p.m., part of what the group calls a NO KINGS #3 National Day of Action.

The two-hour event will feature guest speakers, performances by Singing to Resist, and a protest march that loops back to the park. Organizers describe the gathering as a nonviolent demonstration meant to emphasize that political power should rest with ordinary people.

Amy Prorock-Ernest, an organizing team spokesperson for Indivisible San Juan, said the group maintains a safety committee to help keep demonstrations peaceful. She pointed to the breadth of people drawn to the cause as a source of the group's strength. "It includes such a broad array of people from all walks of life, and so there's going to be a broad array of perspectives about how to rebuild," she said. "The power of the people coming together can accomplish a lot."

Prorock-Ernest also said it is never too late to change your mind if who you voted for is not representing your interests.

The March 28 event marks the third No Kings rally Indivisible San Juan has organized since the reelection of President Donald Trump. Over the past year, the group has hosted about eight rallies overall, including two memorials for Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Its core organizing team has grown to nine people, allowing responsibilities to be spread more broadly across the group.

Indivisible San Juan runs action groups focused on health, education, local politics, and LGBTQ rights. The organization works alongside the ACLU, American Federation of Teachers, MoveOn, National Nurses United, SEIU, and the national Indivisible network. Its stated mission is to "encourage grassroots activism and resistance rooted in inclusion, fairness and justice for all of San Juan County and beyond."

Those looking to get involved before the rally have two upcoming opportunities. A poster-making session is scheduled for Sunday, March 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Quill and Quest Bookstore, 218 West Main Street in Farmington. An earlier session already took place March 15 at Feat of Clay in Aztec.

Indivisible San Juan's website also lists safety and de-escalation training and a Know Your Rights training for prospective marshals, noting that "crowd management and incident response are key parts of a successful event.
