Jamestown Public Schools requires advance payment for family activity tickets

Parents planning to attend Jamestown Public Schools activities now have to order and pay for family tickets in advance, because E-Funds is no longer an option. That change affects families across the district in Jamestown, the county seat of Stutsman County, and it puts the responsibility on parents to complete payment before they head to the next school event.

Jamestown Public Schools serves a district that includes four elementary schools, a middle school, Jamestown High School, an alternative learning center and a transitional living program for students with disabilities. For families who have used the district’s online systems before, the shift is significant because activity-related paperwork is already handled through online registration at Jamestown High School. The ticket process now follows the same basic expectation: finish the task ahead of time, not at the gate.

Jamestown High School’s activities page lists Jim Roaldson as activities director and Linn Suttle as activities assistant. Those are the district contacts tied to the school’s activity office, which handles the paperwork and ticket side of student events. The change away from E-Funds means parents who previously relied on that payment system will need to use the district’s current ordering process instead.

For families, the practical issue is timing. A ticket that has to be ordered and paid for in advance leaves less room for last-minute plans, and it raises the risk that a parent could show up expecting to buy in and learn the ticket was never completed. That is the kind of friction that can keep a child’s family from getting into a game, concert or other activity if the purchase is not handled early enough.

The district’s move also fits with the broader way Jamestown Public Schools already manages activity registration online. Parents who are registering for activity paperwork and paying for entry are now dealing with a system built around advance completion, not same-day payment. For Stutsman County families, the key change is simple: E-Funds is gone, and family activity tickets now have to be secured before the event begins.
