Park City Police Blotter: Late-Night Noise, Yelling Among Recent Calls
Ten people partying on a Prospect Avenue deck at 2:19 a.m. were among several noise and disturbance calls logged by Park City police recently.

Ten people gathered on a deck at a Prospect Avenue house in the early morning hours, with police logging the scene as suspected disturbing the peace, stood out among a recent string of noise and disturbance complaints handled by the Park City Police Department.
The Park City Police Department received several recent complaints about loudness, as the ski industry moves into the final weeks of the season. The calls ranged from late-night street disturbances to a property-damage accident outside the Park Avenue post office.
At 2:19 a.m., 10 people were reported to be on a deck at a house on Prospect Avenue. They were at a party, the police were told, and the department logged the case as suspected disturbing the peace. Public police logs did not provide details about any enforcement action taken.
The weekend also brought at least two loudness calls on Main Street, where proximity to residential neighborhoods makes noise a recurring friction point. Loud music from the strip was reported to be making sleep difficult for nearby residents. As the Park Record has noted, noise complaints along Main Street are commonplace throughout the year, with the shopping, dining and entertainment strip located so close to residential streets.
On Sunday, Dec. 21, at 11:39 p.m., a case involving suspected disturbing the peace was reported on Empire Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details.
On Thursday, March 19, at 10:36 p.m., a party was reported on Lowell Avenue. The people were in a house and were "screaming," the police were told. The department logged the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
On the traffic side, a police officer pulled over a driver at 6:19 p.m. in the area of Holiday Ranch Loop Road after the person failed to slow down and make room for officers on the side of nearby Park Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details about whether the driver received a ticket or a warning.
A separate property-damage accident was reported at 6:07 p.m. at the post office on Park Avenue. Public police logs offered no additional details on that incident either.
On Wednesday, March 18, at 4:55 p.m., the police were told of a person with a sign and apparently asking for money near businesses along Park Avenue. The person was reported to be "yelling" at passing vehicles. The police logged the case as suspected disorderly conduct.
With ski season winding down and spring approaching, noise calls tend to follow the rhythm of Old Town's nightlife. Several of the recent entries reflect that pattern, and in multiple cases, the absence of detail in public police logs leaves open whether any citations were ultimately issued.
