The Summit CSA's 2026 shares are already gone. Every spot at the program's weekly pickup at 1010 Meadow Drive in Frisco filled before the late-June season start, leaving interested residents with two choices: join an interest list for next year or volunteer with the program this summer.

The Summit CSA runs 16 weeks from late June through October. Shares cost $600 and include organic produce, among them heirloom varieties of common vegetables grown in Summit County. Members receive whatever is available from the farm each week rather than selecting their own items. Weekly pickups in Frisco come with one consistent ask: bring your own reusable bags.

The annual sellout is partly structural. "Due to the large number of shareholders that return each year, there are a limited number of shares for sale each year," the Summit CSA notes. Returning members claim the bulk of available spots before new applicants can sign up, a pattern the program describes plainly: "Shares sell out quickly."

Beyond the weekly box, the Summit CSA distributes a newsletter covering local events, volunteer openings, and recipes. The program encourages shareholders to contribute their own recipes back to the broader membership.

Residents who missed this year's enrollment can join an interest list for the 2027 season. The Summit CSA notifies those on the list when applications open, though placement carries no guarantee of a share. Volunteer positions for this summer will be posted on the Summit CSA's volunteer page, offering another way to stay connected to the harvest cycle without a share.

The Summit CSA is one of several Community Supported Agriculture programs across Summit County and the Wasatch Back, where farms are accepting 2026 applications during the current pre-season enrollment period.
