Erin Bumgardner Arrested in Lewisburg for Multiple False Police Reports
A Lewisburg police officer arrested Erin Bumgardner after investigators say she made multiple false calls claiming a domestic violence protection order violation at Tudor’s Biscuit World.

A Lewisburg police officer arrested Erin Bumgardner after investigators say she placed multiple false calls reporting a domestic violence protection order violation at Tudor’s Biscuit World, according to a criminal complaint. The officer responded to the Tudor’s Biscuit World location in Lewisburg, W.Va., on Feb. 7 after the call about an alleged violation of a domestic violence protection order (DVP).
At the scene the officer asked Bumgardner to identify the individual she said was subject to the DVP and to produce the DVP and a photo on her phone of the person named, the criminal complaint states. Investigators say the person shown in the phone photo did not match the man sitting at a table inside Tudor’s, and the officer obtained an OLN photo tied to the DVP for comparison.
The complaint further notes a physical discrepancy between the images: the man in the OLN photo reportedly had a large tattoo on the right side of his neck, while the man at Tudor’s had no tattoo. With knowledge of those previous incidents and the identity-comparison findings, investigators arrested Bumgardner for filing a false report and transported her to the Lewisburg Police Department for processing, the reporting says.
The matter was circulated in regionally syndicated crime bulletins during the week of Feb. 16–19, 2026, and available reporting states that Bumgardner was no longer listed as an inmate at the time that reporting was published. Beyond the phrase that she was arrested for filing a false report and references to “previous incidents,” the available accounts do not include a booking number, formal charge codes, bail information, arraignment dates, or a court docket entry for Bumgardner.

The allegations carry local public-safety implications for Lewisburg, W.Va. Tudor’s Biscuit World is a visible, frequented business in town, and investigators’ characterization of multiple false calls raises concerns about diverted police resources when officers respond to calls that investigators later determine did not occur. The criminal complaint’s identity-comparison details - the phone photo, the DVP documentation, and the OLN photo discrepancy - underpin the arrest but also point to evidence that will be reviewed if prosecutors file formal charges beyond the reported count of filing a false report.
Public records that remain to be obtained include the full criminal complaint, Lewisburg Police Department arrest and booking logs for the Feb. 7 incident, and any court filings that would show formal charges, hearing dates, or prosecutorial action. Those records will clarify how many prior calls investigators allege Bumgardner made and whether additional charges will be pursued in Union County’s courts for the reported false-call incidents.
