Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau Welcomes 24 New Members After Local Membership Drive

With membership tables at hardware stores, an agricultural supplier, and a booth at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, the Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau closed out a community outreach push that brought in 24 new and renewed memberships, the organization announced March 10.

The drive spread across three local retail partners: Dettwiller Hardware in McArthur, Jerry's Do It Center, and Jackson Ag Services. The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation's announcement credited all three businesses directly, saying their willingness to host sign-up tables made the difference. "A huge THANK YOU to Dettwiller Hardware in McArthur, Jerry's Do It Center, and Jackson Ag Services for graciously allowing us to set up and connect with their customers," the OFBF post read. "Your support and partnership make all the difference, and we truly appreciate you!"

A separate event at the Jackson County Fairgrounds brought additional exposure to the drive. Farm Bureau representatives were on hand at the fairgrounds to answer questions, walk visitors through membership benefits, and process sign-ups on the spot. The fair's open, accessible atmosphere drew a mix of farmers, community members, and fairgoers who stopped by to learn about what membership offers, including access to educational resources, insurance benefits, policy advocacy, and an agricultural network.

The Virgil Hamilton Agency, a Nationwide Select Partner, joined the Farm Bureau at the event to make the outreach more substantive. Agency representatives worked alongside Farm Bureau staff at the membership table and met directly with prospective members. Gift cards were offered as an incentive to anyone who joined or renewed during the event, adding a tangible draw to the sign-up process.

"We proudly signed 24 members and welcomed several new faces into our Farm Bureau family," the OFBF announcement stated. Farm Bureau leaders, according to reporting from Ohio Ag Connection, emphasized that the strong community response reinforced the need for continued outreach to deepen agricultural connections across the region.

The Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau serves both Jackson and Vinton counties as part of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, which operates as the state affiliate of the American Farm Bureau Federation, a national organization spanning 49 states and Puerto Rico.
