Lake Hope State Park Easter Egg Hunt Set for April 4
Kids ages 0-18 can hunt for candy and prize tokens at Lake Hope Nature Center on April 4, starting promptly at 1 p.m. Arrive early: eggs go fast.

Lake Hope State Park's 2026 Annual Easter Egg Hunt is set for Saturday, April 4, beginning promptly at 1 p.m. at the park's Nature Center, with eggs filled with candy and tokens available for children ages 0 through 18.
The tokens carry real weight: kids can redeem them at a prize table, making the hunt competitive enough that organizers have a standing warning. "Participants are asked to arrive early, as eggs will disappear quickly, and parking can be tricky," according to the event notice.
The Friends of Lake Hope Group is sponsoring the event, continuing its role as the volunteer organization behind one of the park's most popular family traditions. Kaylin Callander is listed as the organizer contact through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources event listing. Anyone with questions can reach the Lake Hope Nature Center directly at 740-596-3030.
The Nature Center sits within Lake Hope State Park in Vinton County, roughly 10 miles northeast of McArthur off State Route 278. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has a downloadable Lake Hope State Park map available for families who want to scout parking options before arriving.
Given the parking advisory, families with young children in the 0-to-2 range may want to allow extra time to reach the Nature Center grounds from wherever they find a space.
