Abramorama Hosts Coast-to-Coast Ghost Elephants Screening with Live Tuscaloosa Panel
Werner Herzog introduced the 6:55 p.m. coast-to-coast screening of Ghost Elephants at AMC Lincoln Square 13 as a live panel with Steve Boyes, Ariel León Isacovitch and Brian Nugent was transmitted to 115 theaters, including a Tuscaloosa venue.

Werner Herzog introduced the 6:55 p.m. public screening of Ghost Elephants at AMC Lincoln Square 13 in Manhattan, then joined a live panel that was transmitted to participating cinemas nationwide during the one-night-only simulcast on February 26, 2026. Organizers said the event started at 6:55 p.m. across all U.S. time zones and was carried to theaters via the Digital Cinema Distribution Coalition with coordination from Abramorama’s live event partner take2productions.
Abramorama and AB2 Media Group announced the coast-to-coast theatrical event in press materials distributed February 25, 2026; the press release named producers Sobey Road Entertainment, The Roots Production Service, and Skellig Rock as hosting partners alongside Abramorama. The panel line-up listed in the materials included Werner Herzog as director, National Geographic Explorer Steve Boyes, producer Ariel León Isacovitch, executive producer Brian Nugent, and Emmy-winning filmmaker Kirsten Johnson as moderator.
Organizers said the full list of participating theaters was posted on the film’s screenings page and that the program included 115 theaters across 30 states, with promotional copies sometimes using the phrasing 115+ theaters in 30 states. The press materials specifically noted that the coast-to-coast transmission would reach venues nationwide and confirmed a Tuscaloosa venue among participating cinemas, though the local venue name was not specified in the distributed copy.
Following the nationwide simulcast, Ghost Elephants opened in multiple North American theaters and began a weeklong engagement at New York’s IFC Center starting Friday, February 27. Abramorama scheduled two additional Q&A screenings at the IFC Center: Friday, February 27 at 5:40 p.m., with a Q&A featuring Werner Herzog and Steve Boyes, and Saturday, February 28 at 1:30 p.m., featuring a Q&A with Steve Boyes.
Technical and distribution partners named in the announcement included the Digital Cinema Distribution Coalition as the transmission partner and take2productions as Abramorama’s live event partner for coordinating the live panel feed. The press release language used the capitalized film branding “GHOST ELEPHANTS” when promoting the event and directed audiences to the film’s screenings page for nationwide locations and ticketing information.
Local outlets that ran the distributed material carried syndicated press-copy disclaimers noting the content was provided by a third party; organizers’ materials themselves supplied the schedule, panel roster and participating-theater count. The one-night simulcast and the IFC Center Q&A schedule mark the start of the film’s theatrical rollout following the nationwide transmission and the live-panel event that linked Herzog in Manhattan to audiences as far afield as Tuscaloosa.
