AeroPress launches AeroPress Steel coffee maker in 18/8 stainless steel
AeroPress has launched the AeroPress Steel in 18/8 stainless steel, on sale now direct from AeroPress in the US for $169.95 with UK availability arriving a little later.

AeroPress has launched the AeroPress Steel, a stainless-steel version of its cult-favorite immersion press, and the company is selling it direct in the US for $169.95. TechRadar reports the AeroPress Steel "feels reassuringly sturdy, and its vacuum-insulated chamber provides better heat retention than other models. It's even dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning," and says the UK sale will follow "a little later."
Homes & Gardens frames the new model as a design- and travel-conscious upgrade, noting "The new stainless steel AeroPress is an exceptional choice, whether you are graduating from an earlier plastic iteration or seeking a more travel-ready alternative to glass. Its robust construction and considered engineering make it a compelling upgrade in both durability and refinement." The outlet specifies the material as "18/8 stainless steel" and says "The new design marries the same high-quality tech with durable 18/8 stainless steel for a tougher, sleeker, non-toxic coffee maker for usage in kitchens, and while on the move."
That in-house testing context includes a past appraisal from Homes & Gardens' team: "Our coffee expert and trained chef, Lydia Hayman, dubbed the glass version of the AeroPress in her review as the 'Rolls Royce' of coffee makers, and this Stainless Steel model now has a more durable exterior that doesn't risk breaking when transported." Homes & Gardens also reiterates the familiar AeroPress mechanics, writing that "This technology remains one of the most unique coffee makers we have ever seen, with a three-in-one brewing system that brews delicious coffee quickly and easily, and is effortless to maintain."
Shopping (Yahoo) picked up the Homes & Gardens copy and adds a single-source size note, writing that "The stainless steel AeroPress coffee maker is around a fifth bigger, too, without compromising on portability," and endorses the upgrade in an editorial voice: "As a Kitchen Appliance Editor, I consider this a must-have upgrade." That "around a fifth bigger" claim appears only in the Shopping (Yahoo) syndicated writeup and is not stated in the Homes & Gardens or TechRadar excerpts.

On price, TechRadar points out the AeroPress Steel "is on sale now direct from AeroPress for $169.95 in the US," and contrasts that with the AeroPress Premium: "That's still less than the AeroPress Premium though, which is made from a combination of glass, stainless steel and aluminum, and is priced at $199.95 / £169.95 / AU$299." Homes & Gardens also mentions the brand's glass and original models available via Amazon when discussing break risk and durability.
Homes & Gardens and Shopping (Yahoo) include standard affiliate disclosures with their product coverage; Homes & Gardens notes "When you purchase through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission. Here’s how it works." TechRadar’s coverage is by Cat Ellis, identified in the snippet as "TechRadar's Homes Editor" with 15 years' experience and Speciality Coffee Association certification, providing the hands-on context for the insulation and cleaning claims. With US sales live and UK availability pending, AeroPress positions the new 18/8 stainless Steel variant as a tougher, travel-ready alternative to its plastic and glass predecessors.
