Fairhaven Tattoo and Gallery opens offering geometric tattoos and fine art
fairhaven tattoo and gallery opened mid-February at 72 Main St, offering custom black-and-grey realism tattoos alongside a clean, rotating fine-art gallery.
Fairhaven Tattoo and Gallery officially opened its doors in mid-February 2026 at 72 Main St, bringing custom black-and-grey realism tattoos and a curated gallery into downtown Fairhaven. DiscoverFairhaven and the Fairhaven Economic Development Committee have promoted the shop as the town’s first tattoo studio, and a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Economic Development Committee is scheduled for March 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
The shop is owned and operated by married couple Shayna and Nicholas Jones. Nicholas will display his work in the gallery alongside Shayna’s pieces and the space will rotate exhibitions to highlight local and visiting artists. Nicholas grew up surrounded by art and music, discovered photography through skateboarding, and has expanded his practice into film photography, portrait writing, and oil painting — backgrounds cited by local coverage as central to the gallery’s curatorial focus.
Shayna runs the tattoo side with an emphasis on client collaboration and emotional meaning. “It’s not a one-way street. I want clients to express what they want, why they want it, and the emotion behind it,” she said. “I also want them to feel comfortable enough to tell me if I am off track and my idea is not what they want.” The studio’s Instagram bio promotes “Custom tattoos & fine art gallery. Black & grey • realism,” and the business welcomes walk-ins while encouraging appointments for larger projects to ensure a private, relaxed, and quiet environment.
Practical visiting details are already in place: walk-ins are accepted Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 7:00 p.m., and visitors can view and purchase artwork in person during those windows. The New Bedford Standard-Times describes the shop and gallery as “clean, bright” and family-run, and DiscoverFairhaven highlights the space as family-owned and welcoming to people of all genders, backgrounds, and beliefs.

Programming will center on rotating art shows that showcase local and visiting artists while the owners build the gallery’s schedule. The Economic Development Committee framed the ribbon-cutting invitation as a chance to “celebrate a historic first for our town,” listing the ceremony for March 6, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. at 72 Main St. Event materials for the ceremony included contact information for Fairhaven Town Hall at 40 Center St and the phone number (508) 979-4085.
Fairhaven Tattoo and Gallery is described in local coverage as still in its early stages and continuing to evolve. To see current work, stop by 72 Main St during walk-in hours or check the shop’s Instagram account listed as Fairhaven Tattoo & Gallery for booking and updates. Planning to visit or book a session?
