Organizers say the fourth annual Farmington Cannabis Crawl will celebrate cannabis culture in San Juan County on Friday, March 13, with map and swag-bag pickup at Grady’s Cannabis, 111 N. Main Ave., Aztec. The countywide tour is restricted to adults 21 and older, and event materials state no purchase is necessary to participate.

This year’s participants include 15 dispensaries and head shops located around San Juan County, and the passport system requires crawlers to collect a sticker or stamp at each participating location. Event listings show the Crawl running in a 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM time block; crawlers who have their passport stamped at every location can drop off completed passports for a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize.

Administrative details and sponsorships vary between current listings and earlier event materials. Organizers list Score420 as the drop-off point for completed passports for the $1,000 drawing, while prior event pages instructed participants to drop maps at Dreamz Dispensary for a $1,000 prize sponsored by High Altitude Exotics. Promotional copy from earlier listings also promised swag for early arrivals: the first 300 crawlers would receive swag bags and the first 200 would receive an official Cannabis Crawl t-shirt sponsored by Score 420.

Michele Wayne, the event’s Cannabis Crawl coordinator, reflected on changes made during last year’s run: "This was one of our best years doing the Crawl," she said. "We listened to the Crawlers from last year and limited the number of participating dispensaries to 16, down from 21. That made it way more doable – some people even finished the Crawl in a single day."

Local vendors have cited the Crawl as a key customer-engagement opportunity. Tony Martinez, CEO of Lava Leaf Organics, described the business case for participating: "It is an opportunity to meet new people and show them our space, quality products and great pricing," he said. Martinez added his favorite part was "seeing new faces light up when they smell our in-house top-shelf flower," and Lava Leaf Organics confirmed plans to participate again.

Event materials include consumer-safety language and a promotional tagline: "Please Consume Responsibly. You must be 21+ to enter any dispensary. Dispensary products are not FDA-approved. Do not consume dispensary products before or while operating machinery. Dispensary products may present health risks." Organizers also use the slogan: "The Cannabis Crawl is better with a bud, so share the event on Facebook and let’s roll."

Maps and swag are available at Grady’s Cannabis, 111 N. Main Ave., Aztec. For station-level event listings and contact, KSJE provides station contact information at 4601 College Boulevard, Farmington, NM 87402, phone 505-566-3517, email KSJE@sanjuancollege.edu.
