Monopoly GO! Pets Season teams with ASPCA and RSPCA for donation challenge

Monopoly GO! has rolled out its first pet-focused season, pairing a community gameplay goal with real-world charity support. Scopely says the Play with Purpose challenge asks MONOPOLY GO! players - known in game as Tycoons - to collectively pass the GO tile more than 5 million times, with progress tied to an increased donation to the ASPCA in the United States and the RSPCA in England and Wales. “From now through March 4, Pets Season invites MONOPOLY GO! players (known as ‘Tycoons’) to collectively pass GO more than 5 million times as part of the Play with Purpose challenge. Reaching this milestone unlocks an increased donation to leading animal welfare charities, including the ASPCA® in the United States and the RSPCA in England and Wales.”

Players get immediate, guaranteed value for joining in. Scopely confirms that “as a reward for participating, all players who pass the GO! Tile at least once will earn a custom cat-themed Shield, a purr-fect prize for feline lovers everywhere.” The Play with Purpose mechanic runs through March 4 for the charity milestone, according to Scopely; other reporting points to the overall season extending into early April with April 7 cited in some places, so check the in-game calendar for the definitive end date.

Accessories Packs reportedly guarantee one Accessory Sticker from any of three related sets and will appear as rewards in Quick Wins, and a new sticker album collects pet-themed entries.

Community involvement is baked into the feature set. More than 12,000 player pets were submitted through the game’s Discord for a community-driven sticker set, and the Discord reportedly boasts over 1 million members. That user-generated material feeds the in-game sticker album and gives Tycoons a personal stake in the charity push.
