NuPhy Begins Node75 JIS Preorders in Japan, Split Spacebar Available March 6
NuPhy’s Node75 JIS opened preorders in Japan at 6:00 p.m. on March 6, 2026 via Sanyo LLC, and the JIS variant includes a split spacebar with shipments slated for late March or early April.

NuPhy’s Japan rollout got real on March 6, 2026 when Sanyo LLC, also referred to as Sanyo Godo Kaisha in some materials, began accepting preorders for the Node75 JIS at 6:00 p.m. local time. The distributor listed domestic retail channels including Bic Camera, Yodobashi and DIGIART for the preorder window, and Greenkeys editor Ryosuke Kawamura reported the announcement and timing in his coverage of the launch.
The JIS variant is notable for one specific hardware choice: “What is noteworthy about the Node75 JIS this time around is the use of a split space bar despite its Japanese layout,” Greenkeys wrote, linking the layout to the split-space approach used on other Japanese boards. Greenkeys also pointed out that “The split space bar is similar to the Japanese layout used in the Lofree Flow Lite JIS keyboard, which NuPhy distributes as a reseller,” underscoring that NuPhy is shipping a Japan-specific layout rather than repackaging the ANSI Node75 unchanged.
Greenkeys disclosed additional preorder details that matter to buyers in Japan: “pre-orders will be accepted starting March 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m and are available at Bic Camera.com, Yodobashi.com, and DIGIART!” The same piece notes promotional support, including a short-term coupon: “Use coupon code ‘ryo10’ for a 10% discount.” The article also includes the editorial disclosure, “This page contains advertisements. Products and links provided by manufacturers may be included, but will be fairly verified and clearly disclosed in accordance with our editorial policy.”
Sanyo has already provided review units domestically: “As for Node75 JIS, a sample product has been provided by Sanyo Godo Kaisha. Review contents will be uploaded soon,” Greenkeys reported, which suggests hands-on coverage and photos will follow the initial preorder push. Shipping timing is tight: “The shipment is scheduled for the end of March or early April 2026,” per Greenkeys, so buyers who preorder on March 6 can expect a turnaround measured in weeks rather than months.

For platform context, Forbes’ specifications for the Node75 family describe the base Node75 as an ANSI 75 design and list the hardware baseline buyers know: three colors, Ink Gray, Light Pink and Lunar White; low- and high-profile options; hot-swappable switch families (Red Max, Brown Max, Blush Max for high profile and Red Nano, Brown Nano, Blush Nano for low profile); three connection methods, Bluetooth, USB-C and 2.4GHz RF; and “Battery life: Up to 1000 hours in low-power mode.” Forbes also notes a PCB gasket mounting, PC plate, ABS top and bottom shells, nSA keycaps and specific typing-angle kickstand settings and weights. Those are base Node75 specs; Sanyo and NuPhy did not list which colors, switch families or profile options will carry over to the JIS SKU in the preorder notice.
Keymap flexibility remains a selling point: Greenkeys highlighted that “keymap changes can be made from the ‘NuPhy IO 2.0’ web driver, allowing for customization according to usage and working style,” which addresses common JIS mapping concerns for users who swap layers and thumb keys. The broader community has been tracking ISO and JIS rollouts closely: a Reddit post about the Air75 V3 reported preproduction checks and schedule shifts for that maker’s ISO and JIS runs, showing that region-specific variants often arrive on different timelines.
NuPhy’s Japan preorder launch via Sanyo and the split spacebar decision tighten the company’s Japan-specific offering. With shipments slated for the end of March or early April and a sample already circulating to reviewers in Japan, the coming weeks should show whether the Node75 JIS ships with the split-spacebar keycaps and which Node75 options from the Forbes-described base model are included in the JIS package.
