Orange County Mobile DMV Brings Services to New Windsor Town Hall
New Windsor Town Hall hosted the Orange County Mobile DMV on March 9, with a second stop announced for March 18 from 10am-3:30pm.

New Windsor Town Hall at 555 Union Ave. served as a stop on Orange County's Mobile DMV route on Monday, March 9, with Supervisor Stephen A. Bedetti announcing a second visit scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, running from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The two dates appear on separate official sources, and residents should confirm which visit applies to their plans by calling the Orange County Clerk's office at 845-615-3961.
The March 9 stop was part of a full week of Mobile DMV service across Orange County. Following New Windsor, the unit moved to Newburgh Town Hall at 1496 Route 300 on Tuesday, March 10, then to the Town of Wawayanda at 80 Ridgebury Hill Rd. in Slate Hill on Wednesday, March 11, the Town of Palm Tree Justice Court at 46 Bakertown Rd. in Monroe on Thursday, March 12, and the Village of Otisville at 66 Highland Ave. on Friday, March 13. Standard hours across those stops are 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a closure for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
Bedetti's announcement framed the March 18 visit as a return engagement. "New Windsor residents can process many of the normal DMV transactions right here at town hall," the town's posting read. Bedetti also publicly credited Orange County Clerk Kelly Eskew, with the town's announcement noting that he "would like to thank Orange County Clerk Kelly Eskew for once again bringing this service to our residents."

Eskew launched the Mobile DMV program with a ribbon cutting on April 13, 2023. The unit was designed to reduce the need for residents to travel to the county clerk's main office, with an explicit focus on populations that face barriers to access. "The Mobile DMV will help ensure that residents throughout Orange County have access to the important services that our office provides," Eskew said at the launch. "It is a convenient way for residents to receive County services close to home. We're excited to roll out the Mobile DMV, which will visit underserved communities focusing on seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities."
Anyone planning to visit the Mobile DMV at New Windsor Town Hall should review forms and instructions at DMV.NY.GOV before arriving to avoid delays. With two dates listed across official sources, confirming the correct stop through the county clerk's office remains the most reliable step before making the trip to Union Avenue.
