Sterling, Logan County Events Feb. 16-22 Include Women's Connection Luncheon

Northeast Colorado Women’s Connection appears in the Feb. 16–22 community calendar with a noon to 2 p.m. luncheon and program at Sterling Berean Church, 12527 CR 37. The event carries a $10 cost and invites attendees to a hands-on project: "Create Some Love - bring your favorite teacup or mug - or one will be provided - and feel your creative juices flow as you design a floral masterpiece." The program lists Brandee Gillham and describes that she "will share how to hit fear head on, find purpose in pain and tap into where your true power comes from." Heritage Center offerings run throughout the week and include a Movie Matinee showing of Ford vs. Ferrari at 1:30 p.m. and a slate of wellness and social activities. The calendar lists SilverSneakers Classic at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, Door Prize Bingo and Pool at 1:30 p.m. the same day, Cardio Drumming at 9 a.m. and Qi Gong at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, and a Heritage Center Dance Group event at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21 with a $8 admission; "Everyone welcome." The Heritage Center schedule also preserves a mention of a "Heart Healthy Eating Tips booth" without further details.
Sterling Public Library’s Sci-fi/Fantasy Movie Night is listed for grades 6–12 at 5:15 p.m., with snacks and drink provided. Sweet Adelines rehearsals meet at 6 p.m. in the Sterling High School choir room and are described as "For ladies who love to sing." Mexican Train Dominoes, Cards and Pool are scheduled at the Heritage Center at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22.
Thursday, Feb. 19 features a local support meeting and a community meal: the Parkinson Support Group meets from 2 to 3 p.m. at the CSU Northeast Regional Engagement Center, 304 Main St., with a program line reading "Laura Scalva, X39 Stem Cell Phototherapy." Under the Umbrella LCC Meal serves dinner at 5 p.m. at Prince of Peace Church, 201 Phelps St.; "Anyone in need of a meal is welcome."

Friday, Feb. 20 brings youth sports and evening basketball at Fleming High School, with the girls facing Idalia at 6 p.m. in the school gym and the boys tipoff at 7:30 p.m. Daytime classes at the Heritage Center include Cards and Pool at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 22 closes the week with the Sterling Rotary Club meeting at noon at the Tennant Art Gallery inside E.S. French Hall on the NJC campus. CSU Extension’s "Coffee, Tea and We" runs 1 to 2:30 p.m. in person at 302 Main Street or online with a "Smoothie Workshop – Bean Smoothies." The weekly calendar also lists the Sterling Lions Club meeting at noon at the Sterling Elks Lodge; the calendar does not specify which day that meeting falls within Feb. 16–22.
