Tandem Drums Names BR Distribution as U.K. Partner to Expand Reach
Tandem Drums named BR Distribution as a U.K. partner to expand Drops into British retail and pro audio channels, announcement published February 27, 2026.

Tandem Drums announced a new distribution partnership with BR Distribution in the U.K., a move intended to expand Tandem’s reach into British retail and pro audio channels, with the company publishing the announcement on February 27, 2026. The brief notice cites BR Distribution’s long history in the U.K. market but does not include a quoted statement or detail whether the deal is exclusive or when shipments will begin.
Tandem Drums launched in 2023 after a successful crowdfunding campaign for its first product line, Drops, which were designed by founder Daniel Kushner, the industrial designer and drummer behind MONO/Mono. Sources describe Drops as a collection of drum effects built to enhance drum tone without gels or adhesives and featuring variable weights; Mixdown quoted Dynamic Music calling the product’s “clean, user friendly design and variable weights” a potential game changer.
The U.K. announcement sits alongside an earlier distribution move: Tandem named Westside Distribution as its exclusive U.K. distributor in an October 06, 2023 announcement. At that time Kushner said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Westside for almost a decade while at Mono, and we’re extremely pleased to have the opportunity to build another world-class brand together,” and Andy Haldane, head of marketing for Westside, predicted a significant market reaction, saying, “The second we saw Drops, we realized that partnering with Tandem Drums on its release was a foregone conclusion,” and that initial interest would “create a major buzz in the U.K. market.”

Tandem has pursued national distribution agreements elsewhere as part of its rollout strategy. The company awarded Dynamic Music exclusive distribution rights for Australia; Mixdown noted Dynamic Music was founded in 1966 and represents brands including Pearl, Ludwig, Vic Firth, and Zildjian. Craig Stamford, Managing Director of Dynamic Music, told Mixdown, “Daniel has a track record of innovation and creating first class products. When the opportunity presented itself to partner with Daniel on his new venture, Tandem, we were thrilled jump onboard. With their clean, user friendly design and variable weights, Drops(TM) will be a game changer in overtone control for drummers.” DK, Tandem’s founder, added, “Australia is such an important market for us. We’ve received steady inquiries from artists there since our launch, and we really wanted to get it right with a distribution partner. I couldn’t me more excited to have the support of Dynamic Music. The team there is passionate, professional, and dedicated to serving its market in the best ways possible. We’re honored to be in such good company.”
What remains unclear from the February 27, 2026 announcement is whether BR Distribution’s role replaces, supplements, or operates alongside the October 2023 Westside exclusivity, and which Tandem SKUs or channels BR will handle. The announcement does not supply exclusivity language, launch dates, or quoted comment from BR or Tandem on operational terms; those specifics will determine when Drops become broadly available through British retail and pro audio channels.
