TinyFest Brings Tiny Homes, ADUs and Nomad Living Innovations
TinyFest will bring dozens of tiny homes, ADUs, vans and a Nomad Village to Costa Mesa April 18-19, 2026, letting visitors tour models, meet builders and test small-space living options.

TinyFest is staging a showpiece for the tiny home and nomad living community at the OC Fair & Events Center in Costa Mesa on April 18-19, 2026, promising open tours of professionally built tiny houses on wheels, backyard ADUs, van and bus conversions, modular units and a dedicated Nomad Village. Organizers market the festival as a chance to “try before you buy,” meet builders and neighbors, and explore practical solutions for sustainable, flexible and financially lighter living.
The festival’s program blends walk-throughs of dozens of models with educational programming - speakers, panel discussions, workshops and meetups - plus a Simple Living Marketplace, live music and food. The Tiny Home Industry Association has highlighted similar events as including free seminars and marketplace offerings, while festival social posts emphasize community connection and on-site items such as collectible stickers. Organizers encourage signing up for updates and using the festival as a place to ask builders detailed questions about finishes, systems and costs.
Photographs and past coverage show the shift from DIY van life toward factory-built tiny homes packed with modern conveniences. A Clever Tiny Homes model, for example, was pictured with a luxury bathroom and tub, an outdoor deck extending from the living room, extensive quartz counters and carefully finished cabinetry. Many factory-built tiny houses on wheels now include heating and air conditioning, modern bathrooms, full kitchens with appliances and even washers and dryers and dishwashers - features that make touring models essential for prospective buyers weighing trade-offs between mobility and comfort.
Community members attend TinyFest for practical reasons - sustainability, autonomy, flexibility and financial freedom are common motivators - and to solve real problems. Seevers, an attendee and advocate, said, “We need to have more of these festivals, because it gives people a great way to experience tiny living, ask questions and see things in person.” That direct access to builders and current tiny dwellers helps visitors evaluate fit, finishes and repair ideas before committing to construction or purchase.
TinyFest has held multiple regional editions in recent years, including runs at the Del Mar Fairgrounds that organizers described as returning for a sixth year for a March weekend edition. This edition moves to Orange County with organizers inviting people interested in sustainable homes, alternative living and financial freedom to attend. For ticketing and questions, contact info@tinyfest.events and check the festival’s official channels and newsletter for the latest lineup, hours and exhibitor list.
For readers considering a downsizing or nomad experiment, TinyFest offers hands-on comparison shopping, builder contacts and community troubleshooting in one place - a fast way to separate attractive finishes from practical systems and to find the specific model that will fit your life.
