Class 3A Boys Regionals Preview: Cathedral, Bosse Among Top Contenders
Cathedral (21-5) faces Brebeuf Jesuit tonight at Martinsville as Class 3A regionals tip off across Indiana, with Silver Creek's 27-1 record making them the day's most dominant story.

Six Class 3A regional matchups tip off across Indiana today, with Cathedral and Silver Creek carrying the heaviest expectations into a bracket round where every winner books a semi-state berth.
Cathedral enters its 7 p.m. game at Martinsville with a 21-5 record, drawing Brebeuf Jesuit (18-6) as a tough but beatable opponent. The Irish are one of the Class 3A programs the Prep Hoops Indiana preview singled out as a top contender alongside Bosse, though Bosse's regional bracket placement and opponent were not confirmed in available schedules.
The most eye-catching record in the entire Class 3A field belongs to Silver Creek, which brings a 27-1 mark into a 4 p.m. matchup against Batesville (20-4) at Charlestown. That single loss all season puts Silver Creek in a category of its own among today's 3A field, and Batesville's 20 wins aren't enough to make this anything but a genuine test for the Dragons.
At Logansport, West Lafayette (22-4) meets New Haven (19-7) at 1 p.m. in a game that pits two teams with legitimate resume credentials against each other. Columbia City (22-4) takes on Hanover-Central (12-14) at Plymouth at 4 p.m., a matchup where the records tell a lopsided story heading in. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (20-7) faces Delta (15-10) at New Castle at 1 p.m., and at Greencastle, Northview (21-5) squares up against Roncalli (17-7) at 4 p.m.
All six of those host sites were set following last weekend's sectional championships. The stakes are straightforward: win today and you're playing for a trip to the state championship; lose and the season ends.
Beyond Class 3A, the regional slate is expansive. Southport hosts two Class 4A games, with Mt. Vernon (Fortville) (24-3) vs. Pike (23-3) at 4 p.m. and Lawrence Central vs. Decatur Central at 7 p.m. Both Southport games will air live on MyINDY-TV 23. Paoli carries the most unblemished record of any team in today's action across all classes, entering its Class 2A game at Seymour at 26-0 against Linton-Stockton (23-4).
Northridge (24-1) vs. South Bend St. Joseph (21-4) at Plymouth headlines the Class 4A evening games, a matchup with combined wins that rivals anything on the board today.
Tickets for the regional round are available through the Indiana High School Athletic Association tournament portal.
