La Lumiere Rises Two Spots to No. 16 Ahead of CHIPOTLE Nationals
La Lumiere School in La Porte, Ind., moved up two spots to No. 16 in Blue Star Media’s Elite 25 as the rankings enter the final six weeks before the CHIPOTLE Nationals on April 4 in Indiana.

La Lumiere School (La Porte, Ind.) bumped up two slots to No. 16 in Blue Star Media’s latest Elite 25 boys’ basketball rankings, a movement reported in updates dated Feb. 23 and carried on the Blue Star Media ranking header dated Feb. 24, 2026. Time flies. The ranking shift arrives as the national evaluators enter the final six weeks of the high school season ahead of the CHIPOTLE Nationals, which Blue Star Media says will be staged on Saturday, April 4 in Indiana.
Christopher Lawlor compiled the Blue Star Media Elite 25 from BENSALEM, Pa., and Blue Star Media’s about text lists the weekly release cadence from October through the season’s conclusion. The rankings are based on the quality of the team and its players, strength of schedule, tradition, and the quality of the team’s league, conference, region or district, and the list notes that final rankings will be released in April of the 2025-26 season. Blue Star Media frames the CHIPOTLE Nationals as decisive for national pecking order: “That national event’s winner usually crowns the Blue Star Media Elite 25 National Champions but not always. This year there’s a strong chance the winner will stand alone on the podium.” With the nationals set for April 4 in Indiana and final rankings due in April, La Lumiere’s jump to No. 16 places the La Porte program in sharper view as national evaluators reconcile late-season results and EYBL scholastic tournament performance.
Top of the list remained Prolific Prep, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., at No. 1 with a 26-3 record and a lowdown labeled “Idle.” No. 2 Spire Academy, Geneva, Ohio, held at 26-2 after beating CATS Academy (Braintree, Mass.), 79-47, and Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.), 76-57, with Darrell Davis tossing in 18 points and having 5 rebounds and 3 steals vs. LuHi. Blue Star Media’s Spire note also states: “The regular season concludes Friday at No. 16 La Lumiere School (La Porte, Ind.).” Sierra Canyon School, Chatsworth, Calif., stayed at No. 3 with a 25-1 record in the excerpted list.

Blue Star Media’s headline also highlights regional playoff movement: “No. 6 St. Paul VI Catholic (VA) wins WCAC title behind Smith’s 39,” signaling a standout individual performance within the conference picture even as national rankings shift. The weekly changes reflect the evaluators’ attention to late-season results and tournament showings; the original short report preserved a truncated phrasing noting accounting for “recent results, EYBL scholastic tournament performance and strength.”
La Lumiere’s rise to No. 16, the in-state CHIPOTLE Nationals on April 4, and Blue Star Media’s promise of final rankings in April combine to create a compressed window for teams to improve national standing. With Spire scheduled to wrap its regular season at La Lumiere on Friday and national evaluators watching EYBL and scholastic tournaments, La Porte’s program has moved into a higher-stakes spotlight as the postseason approaches.
