Micah Norman Named ORVC Player of the Week, Sets Milan Scoring Record

Milan senior Micah Norman was named the Ohio River Valley Conference Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 16-21 after a stretch that included him becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer and a two-game barrage that WRBI summarized as 74 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 three-pointers.

The timeline in the reports includes a small date discrepancy around the Waldron game: WRBI specifies the milestone came “on February 17” in a 64-62 overtime loss, while Stateline’s Feb. 18 story describes the event as occurring “On Tuesday night” and places the record in the final seconds of the first half. Both outlets agree the opponent was Waldron and that Norman finished that game with 32 points. Local box score verification from Milan will reconcile the one-calendar-day difference in the published accounts.
