Northeast Indiana Teams Dominate Sectional Finals, Homestead Tops Wayne 80-48
Homestead crushed Wayne 80-48 in the Class 4A sectional final, headlining a Saturday sweep that sent 11 Northeast Indiana teams to the regional round.

Homestead left no doubt in the Class 4A Section 5 championship, rolling past Wayne 80-48 in a 32-point rout that stood as the most lopsided result among Northeast Indiana's sectional finals Saturday. The Spartans will now face Harrison (West Lafayette) in the regional draw.
The evening's most dramatic finish came from Snider, which survived a Class 4A Section 6 overtime thriller to beat North Side 65-62 and punch its own regional ticket. Snider is slated to meet Carmel in the next round, a matchup that sets up one of the more compelling regional contests on the Class 4A bracket. Northridge completed the Class 4A sweep for the region, handling Warsaw 48-37 in Section 4 and drawing South Bend Saint Joseph in the regional round.
In Class 3A, Columbia City ground out a 31-22 defensive win over NorthWood in Section 20, the lowest-scoring sectional final of any class in the Northeast Indiana results. The Eagles advance to face Hanover Central in the regional. Blackhawk Christian delivered the night's most nail-biting finish in Class 3A, edging East Noble 47-45 to claim the Section 21 championship. New Haven posted the biggest Class 3A margin, taking down Marion 74-60 in Section 22.

The smaller classes produced their own sectional champions across the region. In Class 2A, Westview beat Lakeland 66-43 in Section 35, Bishop Luers topped Bluffton 75-66 in Section 36, and Blackford knocked off Wapahani 39-39 in Section 40. Class 1A saw Canterbury defeat Lakewood Park Christian 65-51 in Section 52, while Southwood handled North Miami 78-58 in Section 55.
Eleven Northeast Indiana programs claimed sectional titles on Saturday, and several of the regional matchups stack local contenders against tests that will clarify just how deep this group of champions runs.
