Upsets and Breakout Performances Fuel Playoff Momentum Across Indiana

Pike’s 68-64 overtime victory at Lawrence North and Evansville Reitz’s 78-74, 2OT win at Jeffersonville were two of the night’s signature finishes as Indiana boys basketball pushed into the playoff stretch on Feb. 20. Indpls Ben Davis beat Indpls Cathedral 72-59 and Fishers rolled past Zionsville 66-42, outcomes that combine tight finishes and decisive wins across key matchups.

WTHR’s statewide scoreboard roundup captured scores across the map, listing Alexandria 66, Frankton 47; Gibson Southern 54, Wood Memorial 52; Hamilton Southeastern 60, Brownsburg 37; Huntington North 71, Tippecanoe Valley 32; and Evansville North 83, Castle 59 among others. The roundup preserved overtime markers on several games: Indpls Pike 68, Lawrence North 64, OT; Ft. Wayne Blackhawk 42, NorthWood 39, OT; and Evansville Reitz 78, Jeffersonville 74, 2OT.
